If you have a chance to go visit Longwood Gardens this spring, I would highly suggest doing so because it is truly a sight to see and smell! Some highlights include the magnolia tree, tulips, bluebells, crabapple trees and the list goes on and on. I could spend a whole day looking around the beautiful grounds, conservatory, and of course, the gift shop. My personal favorite spot is the Peony Garden, which is in bloom once a year in May and is located on the western side of the 1908 Square Fountain. It’s sort of a secret spot where not too many people are often around, plus peonies are one of my favorite spring time flowers!
While it seems like winter will NEVER end, step inside the gorgeous home-decor shop, Terrain, and you are instantly transported to SPRING! The pops of cheerful color combined with scents of citrus and floral tones squash any trace of the winter blues! Freshening up your home decor is an inspiring way to usher in the start of warm weather, open windows and gentle breezes! How gorgeous are these pieces? Countdown to Spring has officially begun!
One of the things I love about the arrival of spring, is the blossoming of the cherry trees. It is fascinating to watch as it bursts into vibrant color, then sheds its flowers shortly thereafter. It’s short-lived beauty (blooming season lasts a mere two weeks) truly captures the new season amongst us. Happy spring!
With the gorgeous weather and spring flowers blooming…I’d say that spring is definitely in the air. With that, it’s time for some COLOR!
We recently received a bunch of fabric memos for a client from Quadrille Fabric…and I love them all! From the Quadrille, Alan Campbell and China Seas collections – their bold, graphic patterns would add a refreshing pop of color to your home, yet are still versatile enough to incorporate into your color scheme year-round.
